The supply curve shifts out

Redbox. Do any of you use it?

  1. I've never used it but now I am sold! I pay $5 from BB to keep it for two days. Why shouldn't I just pay $2!

  2. I've used it since it was a trial market in Minneapolis... 5+ years.

  3. I've used this a couple of times. It's quick, cheap and convenient, but the selection isn't that great.

  4. I've used Redbox since last year. I would second the comment that the selection leaves something to be desired, but that for movies that have just left the theater it is a good option. I used to use Netflix and am thinking of going back to it now that they stream movies online and the fact that they have television shows on DVD available, something Redbox doesn't offer.

  5. No, but I see people using the one at Safeway all the time. I saw a parent with a kid picking a movie at Redbox and I thought: this is more fun for kids, since it gets them involved (unlike parent ordering the DVD online) and it is more interactive. On the other hand, it gets the kids involved in this kind of consumption early on, which can have both positive and negative long-term effects.
