ReplyDeleteThe most baffling thing about this move, to me, is the timing. Like McArdle, I think it would have been a much wiser business move to make this announcement along with the price change. All of this may be necessary due to the differing cost structures between the two services, but they are losing a lot of reputational capital with the consumers by lowering the credibility that they won't make future inconvenient changes.
